Password Store is an innovative desktop application for securely storing passwords and sensitive information. The premise of the application is to store and display information in a user friendly method to allow quick access to sensitive data such as bank details, social networking site login information and wireless networking credentials.
The innovative architecture would allow greater security to be applied to high risk information and less security to lower risk items.
The application not only requires a strong architecture and development, but also a friendly user interface that is accessible to users of different skill levels. I achieved this by using subtle blue tones and gradients with contrasting information being presented in darker shades of blue. Actionable items such as download buttons would be apparently green.
The application features are arranged in a stylish and easy to read grid layout. Using graphical cues along side the information to create a more appealing design. The icons also give a graphical representation of each feature, accessible before going in to greater depth.
The site utilised the following technologies:
• Adobe Photoshop CS4 for design and layout
• XHTML & CSS for development and delivery
