    J-Dilla Memorial Site

A college project asked I produce a website specifically targeted at a current band or artist. My choice was to aim my site at the artist J-Dilla. His work inspires me and I knew I could inject this passion into the project. The website is dedicated to showcasing his life's work and also to help raise charitable funds for Lupus. This disease sadly proved fatal to J-Dilla in 2006.
The following technologies were used to create this project:

    • Adobe Photoshop CS4 for design and layout
    • XHTML & CSS for development and delivery
    • Adobe Flash CS4 and ActionScript for interactive elements
    • Spry Framework for dynamic data

The main feature of the site was interactivity and easily managed content. To achieve these goals Spry and Flash provided fundamental to the success. The coverflow inspired album selector allowed smooth selection of albums. Once an album is selected demo tracks can be played directly in the browser before purchasing on a popular online music store.
Spry played a crucial part in loading dynamic data and presenting in to the end user in an effective method. Delivering collapsable elements to arrange content.
